I'm Thinking of Ending Things (virtual discussion)

The next Asheville Movie Guys event will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8, featuring a virtual discussion of Charlie Kaufman's latest mind-bender, "I'm Thinking of Ending Things," starring Jessie Buckley, Jesse Plemons, Toni Collette, and David Thewlis.

Everyone is welcome to watch the film via Netflix prior to the event, then join us for the discussion, which will take place via a Facebook Live video feed from the Asheville Movie Guys' Facebook page. Bruce Steele and Edwin Arnaudin of AshevilleMovies.com will do their usual post-screening discussion, including behind-the-scenes details on the making of the film, then open the (digital) floor for attendees to respond. Questions may be submitted by comment within Facebook or via email to ashevillemovies@gmail.com.

There is no charge for this event. Patrons are encouraged to consider buying Fine Arts Theatre gift cards worth $5 or more at fineartstheatre.com to keep the theater afloat until it can reopen (when you can then cash in those gift cards), but no purchase is required.

The first 20 patrons who purchase a Fine Arts gift card and send a copy of their receipt to ashevillemovies@gmail.com by Oct. 15 will receive a coupon for free popcorn. The coupon can be redeemed once the theater reopens, and will be honored through the end of 2020.

The Movie Guys plan to offer live-streamed discussions every couple of weeks until the Fine Arts reopens. Please join us on Oct. 8 and check back for details on future events.
